Our DuraShield® coatings provide the longest lasting release life and the best release characteristics for baked goods from buns and rolls to breads and cakes. We apply DuraShield to new pans at our pan manufacturing facilities in Brazil, Romania, and the USA.

The Value of DuraShield

DuraShield is made with a polymer that lasts approximately ten times longer than glaze. That means less scheduled maintenance, fewer work stoppages, and less worry—making your bakery more productive. Plus, we’re constantly testing new coatings to ensure your bakery’s pans perform at their best.

Formula Ideal for
DuraShield®

Buns, Bread, Cakes and Muffins. This DuraShield formula is used in leading bakeries around the world for up to 5000 releases in bun bakeries.
DuraShield® SureBake

Buns. This formula reduces white rings and large pores found on the bottom of hamburger buns from the very first bake.
DuraShield® Ultra

Buns, Bread, Cakes and Muffins. This premium formula provides approximately 20% more releases than standard DuraShield formula.

Optional Enhancers

DuraShield also offers optional enhancers to provide optimal performance in specific operations:

  • Exterior Pan Coating – To improve heat absorption, protect the exterior of the pan and provide easier cleaning of pan exterior.

Recoating Services

OUR EXCLUSIVE METHODOLOGY AND COATINGS PROLONG PAN LIFE AND RESTORE OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE

We’ve perfected the process for cleaning and recoating baking pans through almost 50 years serving some of the world’s largest and most demanding bakeries.

  1. STRAIGHTENING (OPTIONAL)

    Hydraulic presses and custom-made dies remove dents and warping, restoring pans to their original shape.

  2. COATING REMOVAL & CLEANING​

    A proprietary cleaning solution removes the existing coating as well as heavy greases and carbon from pans.

  3. COATING

    Pans are then coated with DuraShield and cured in high-temperature ovens.

  4. SHIPPING

    In most cases, pans will be back in your bakery and good as new in 2 to 3 weeks.

Handling Procedures

FOR BAKING PANS WITH DURASHIELD AND OPTISHIELD COATINGS

DuraShield and OptiShield coatings have excellent non-stick properties and resistance to corrosion. However, exposure to excessive heat or moisture and contact with plant equipment or practices that cause abrasion of the coating can shorten the life of your pans. Following these handling requirements will minimize damage and maximize the life of your coated pans. Neglecting to follow these guidelines will reduce the life of your pan and, if the damage is sufficiently severe, may potentially void the warranty.
